What are you honouring this Solstice?

I am sat under the sun in the fullness of what life has manifested for me.
And that’s not money or opportunity or success… it is a far greater richness, the magic of life.

Which sprouts from the cracks in the concrete
Shoots up between the gravel stones
Creeps into the curated beds

When I returned to the UK after a decade overseas, I felt lost. I loved faraway lands much more than this humble soil but I had a deep longing to know the ways of this land and all those who have tended it. I bought lots of books on garden apothecaries, witch’s plants, British trees.

I never opened them, at least not more than to flick through.

And now, at the fullest turn of the wheel of the year, I celebrate how those plants have found their way to me without me needing to do a thing. Valerian, elder, groundsell, foxgloves, cornflowers, chamomile, willow herb, milk thistle, yarrow, toadflax are all here. They grow in the garden, without me needing to do a thing. Just as I longed them to be.

This is what manifestation truly is, for me. Knowing what we long for and trusting that with time, we can touch deeply into that. Come into intimate relationship with that longing. We don’t even need to trust… it happens anyway. Though trusting can help us greatly along the way ♥️

What an adventure I now get to embark on with these plants. I wonder what will they tell me about the ancestors of this land, how will they help me be a nourishing ancestor to those who will follow?

My wish is that this solstice, you can feel the pull of what it is that you long for. And know that all we have to do, is drink it in.

Do you long to deepen your relationship with the Dreamworld?

Here’s 5 tips to begin remembering and working with your dreams:

✨ Set an Intention to Dream: ask Psyche to gift you a Dream whilst you drift off and trust what is received.

✨Listen: when Psyche gifts you a Dream, your job is to listen and receive. Try to wake yourself up and recount the dream as fully as possible before it starts to dissolve again. I voice record my Dreams and then write them down when I’m fully awake. I love being able to hear the Dream in my half asleep voice.

✨ Mugwort is a great herb to work with for those of you who really struggle to remember dreams. The herb will help make the dreamworld more vivid in waking states.

✨ When you return to the Dream the following day, listen/read it back. Give it a title - the less you think about it the better. Also note the general mood of the Dream. These are great ways to be able to continue exploring the intricacies of the Dream later.

✨ Bring the Dream into relationship. That might be with a Dream guide if you’re lucky enough to have one, or perhaps you could find one by asking the trees, rocks, the sky to listen to your Dreams. Offer them freely, as Dreams long to be made conscious in multiple realms. Once they are living and breathing in the world, see how they continue to unravel…

We are living through extraordinary times. For me,

We are living through extraordinary times.
For me, finding the extraordinary alongside the agony is essential. Then I can continue turning towards, opening my hands, dropping to my knees.

Throughout the last 8 months, I’ve had to become really clear on what my resources are and really devoted to making use of them. I can so easily forget they exist when actually, they are always an arms length away.

If you forget to reach for them too, here’s how you can make them more attainable even in the most difficult moments:

🌱 write a list of 5 resources which you know you can access anywhere, anytime.

🌱 this might include somatic practices like tapping, sensitized touch, self soothing.

🌱 it might include yogic practices like nadi shodhana, bhramari or other breath work which settles you.

🌱 turning to nature - the sky is always above us, the earth is always below.

🌱 have 1 or 2 resources that you do every day to keep you resourced. It might be free writing, baking or this weird thing called ‘yoga’… not sure if you’ve heard of it…

🌱 if things are overwhelming, give them space to move. That might be an interpretative dance or it might be a sudden movement. Let the instincts of your body be expressed so that the emotion, sensation and impulse can move outwards.

🌱 what senses are most sensitive for you? If you like smells, have an essential oil blend you can carry, or chocolate for taste. A special playlist for sound or image of a deity, loved one or cherished animal for sight.

🌱 I like touch so I carry a rock with me at all times and stroking, feeling the weight of the rock and bringing it to my skin really soothes me.

🌱 tell other people what your resources are so they become more clarified in your own mind whilst you also get to share support with others and inspire them.

🌱 pray, chant, dance and love. The world needs the unique expression of life that is you to be wholly and holy you.

What is alive from the great stories?

When we immerse ourselves in myth, something new emerges… both for us and for the story itself as it seeps more of its roots into collective psyche.

The Myth of Psyche has become re-animated for me and it asked to be retold with my tongue… if you long to feel how this story re-animates aspects of you, if you are curious as to what parts of it are alive for you in the here and now… I’ve just uploaded the story to my link tree.

What is a dream?

When people tell me that dreams are their minds reorganising parts of their day, I want to cry. Dreams are so much more than that. To place our dreams on the sacred alter of life is a way to honour the divine creativity of life. We have forgotten how to listen for her.

Psyche creates Dream in her sacred atelier. Weaving life with experience. Presenting us with reflections, messages, hidden promises and forgotten truths.

Dreams are Psyches way to tell us to remember, remember remember…
